Student Receives Boren and Gilman

Jared Sipes, a Western Michigan University student, received a Boren Scholarship and a Gilman Scholarship for study abroad in Russia . Jared, who transferred from Kalamazoo Community College, is earning a global and international studies major and a minor in Russian.  He is using his scholarship funding to study at Saratov State University.

Jared Sipes, a senior majoring in Global and International Studies and minoring in Russian has been named a 2013 Boren Scholarship recipient. Boren Scholar Receives Prestigious Awards

Jaime LeBlanc-Hadley, a 2008 Boren Scholar, has received two major awards to study international development policy at the Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS).  She was awarded a $10,000 per year merit scholarship from MIIS and a 2010 Thomas R.
