Leah Moushey, who just finished her undergraduate degree at Syracuse University, will use the next year to study Portuguese at the Universidade Eduardo Mondlant in Maputo, Mozambique. She hopes to better understand sub-Saharan Africa, its role on the world stage, and its prospects for the future. Upon completion of graduate school, she hopes to become a Foreign Service Officer for the US Department of State, work for USAID, or be a legal advisor in the office of the US Trade Representative.
