As part of the Boren Scholarship Convocation, Scholars had the opportunity to go to Capitol Hill and visit the offices of their senators and members of Congress. As a result of that meeting, Vivian Ekey was able to meet Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD). Vivian graduated from Franklin High School and is currently a double major in Political Science and Languages and Literature at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She will be using her Boren Scholarship to study in Brazil.
