Two OU Students Receive Boren Awards

Two students from the University of Oklahoma (OU), Evan DeFilippis and Cade Roberts, were selected to receive 2012 Boren Scholarships.

As part of the African Languages Initiative, Evan will study Swahili at the University of Florida this summer before going to the State University of Zanzibar in Tanzania this fall.  Evan intends to graduate in May 2013 with majors in economics, political science, and psychology.

Cade is a an international security studies major and a member of the Arabic Language Flagship program.  He will spend the academic year at the University of Alexandria in Egypt.
