About Douglas:

Douglas Winter was a 2012 Boren Scholar to Kyrgyzstan where he studied Russian. Douglas was a non-traditional student, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business at Colorado State University after serving in the U.S. Navy. Following his Boren program, Douglas attended the University of Denver where he received two Master's degrees in International Development and Humanitarian Systems and Geographic Information Science and Cartography. Douglas fulfilled his service as a Geographic Information Systems Specialist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where he works presently.
