About Michael:
Michael Acosta was a 2015 Boren Fellow to Jordan where he studied Arabic and conducted research for his master’s thesis about the integration of Syrian refugees into Jordanian public schools. Michael graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2016 with a Master's in Education. He later fulfilled his service requirement as an Emergency Management Specialist at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) within the Department of Homeland Security where he works currently. Michael also serves as the Vice President of the NSEP Alumni Association.
